NeoCommander:

for those that are interested it appears that for every lvl of jet drive, the herc moves 3 mins faster. To get a herc to be as fast as a atlas it will require lvl 17 jet drive.

To get a herc as fast as lvl 8 warp ships (and I'm guesing here) the jet drive will have to be around lvl 27.
